WHY COMMUNITY GROUPS?

As a church community, we gather on Sunday morning for worship. However, we recognize that Sunday morning church attendance, while vital, cannot provide sufficient discipleship. We believe that “community” extends beyond the walls of our church building and well beyond Sunday morning. Through Jesus, God has not only reconciled us to himself, but to one another as well. It is within our Community Groups that we live out the reality that we have been united both to God the Father and to one another.  Community Groups are essential to our lives here at Trinity and we hold deeply to the conviction that they are a profoundly important aspect of a maturing relationship with God.

WHAT IS A COMMUNITY GROUP?

A Community Group is a group of people who meet throughout the week, most often in homes, to be intentionally engaged in one another’s lives. Many Community Groups study and discuss the previous Sunday’s sermon, while some work through a particular book of the Bible. Our Community Groups share meals together, pray for one another, encourage each other, and spend time investing in one another’s lives. Each member and regular attender of Trinity is strongly encouraged to be actively involved in a Community Group. If you are new to Trinity, a Community Group is a great place to meet people. If you have children, several groups offer childcare.
