Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20

Jesus wants his people to take the gospel, and the new life it brings, to the whole world. This mission starts locally and then extends to the corners of the earth (Acts 1:8). Our mission is to join in God’s sovereign and unstoppable plan to draw people from all tongues and nations to himself. It is the carrying of the best news in the world; news that there is reconciliation to God and adoption into his family.

God does not need us, but he chooses to use weak people to carry and proclaim this saving message. It is our awesome privilege to spend our energies and our lives for this cause. At Trinity, we want every member to be involved in God’s work, whether here in Lake County or around the world.

It is our desire to be involved in three ministry areas: local service, church planting, and international missions.

Local Ministry Partners

Bag Hunger

Each month we visit to the Waukegan area, delivering food and building relationships through a ministry called “Bag Hunger.”  Pick up a bag in the lobby of the church, fill it during the week, and return it the next week.  Or come and deliver the food when we have a scheduled Bag Hunger outing after a church service. Contact Jerry Henslee with questions or for more information.

The school trains and equips French-speaking people, most of whom will return to work in churches in France. David oversees all the first-year students and has three main roles—teacher (of New Testament), resident director for the students who are living on campus, and ministry team leader for short-term trips the students take throughout France.  There is currently a great need for well-trained French pastors.  The evangelical church in France is growing and this is opening many new opportunities. It is his great privilege to be able to invest in students, many of whom will go on to plant churches, be pastors, and have influence within cities all over France. More at his wesbite:
